Dad’s Army A Stripe for Frazer

Dad’s Army A Stripe for Frazer

After more than 45 years you can now watch a lost episode of Dad’s Army: A Stripe for Frazer again, unseen since its first broadcast in 1969 and brought to life by our small but dedicated team of animators and designers.

Thanks to the perseverance of our producer Charles Norton over six years, we started pre production in October 2015 and then with 12 weeks of animation time the finished film was made available to view online from 4th February 2016. As lead animator on this very special project, I’m very impressed with what our team managed to accomplish and I hope you will be too. The episode is available to download right now from BBC Store and you can view a short clip on their YouTube channel.

In addition, there is an extensive behind-the-scenes blog post by our producer and a couple of radio interviews with me on BBC Scotland and BBC Berkshire talking about the production.
